Recently, CCTV News Channel "Morning News" reported that the 60MW/300MWh independent grid-connected energy storage supply guarantee project in Gar County, Ali Prefecture, Tibet is about to be connected to the grid for power generation. After the project is put into operation at full capacity, it will effectively solve the power and electricity gap in Ali Prefecture, Tibet, improve the absorption capacity of new energy projects, and ensure the reliable and stable operation of the local power grid.
The project is located in Luma Village, Zhaxigang Township, Gar County, Ali Prefecture, Tibet Autonomous Region.
This is the first batch of independent grid-connected energy storage projects in Tibet, and it is also the largest independent grid-connected energy storage project in Tibet at present, and it is also one of the energy storage projects with the highest altitude. Precisely because of the great difficulty of this project, it has become a strength verification of the technical strength and product reliability of grid-connected energy storage in ultra-high altitude and ultra-low temperature environments.
1. The test of minus 36.7 degrees
The snowy plateau has magnificent scenery, but for large-scale energy storage power stations, it is the most severe test. Ali Prefecture, Tibet is located on a plateau with an average altitude of more than 4,282 meters and extreme low temperatures of up to -36.7℃. Therefore, without strong technical confidence, energy storage companies dare not take projects in Tibet.
Faced with such a harsh local natural environment, the project used a full-capacity grid-type energy storage system solution, including 120 1250kW grid-type energy storage PCS. This product can perfectly match large-capacity batteries, and has the characteristics of efficient conversion, flexible configuration, and grid friendliness. The product uses a new three-electric topology and a series of cutting-edge technologies to successfully achieve a leap in efficiency performance. The maximum efficiency of the full voltage range can reach 99.03%, and it can achieve efficient energy storage and stable power supply in various complex environments. At the same time, the product adopts a high protection level to fully isolate the impact of the harsh external environment on the equipment. It can also operate stably in an extremely cold environment of -40°C, which significantly extends the service life of the product.
2. Large-scale independent grid-building energy storage requires strong scientific and technological support
As the first batch of independent grid-building energy storage projects in Tibet, facing the ever-changing challenges of the power grid, the 1250kW grid-building energy storage PCS has demonstrated superior grid-building capabilities. This product adopts virtual synchronous generator technology, has the ability to actively support the power grid such as inertia, primary frequency regulation, and damping, and realizes the operating characteristics similar to synchronous generators, meeting the technical requirements of improving the system short-circuit current level, improving the system strength, improving the system frequency stability, and actively supporting system recovery. In extreme environments, PCS can also provide fault ride-through, black start, and active and reactive power stability functions, achieving a short-term overload capacity of 3 times in 10 seconds. The above not only improves the grid-related capabilities of new energy and new energy storage, but also promotes the transformation of new energy from grid connection to grid construction, providing strong support for Tibet's power supply and new energy development.
3. Super "power bank", peak load regulation, supply guarantee and consumption promotion!
The Ali region has abundant renewable energy resources. The 60MW/300MWh independent grid-connected energy storage project is equivalent to a stable power grid "power bank". It can store 300,000 kWh of electricity at a time and supply 280,000 kWh of electricity to the grid. It can meet the electricity needs of tens of thousands of households in the Ali region and provide a solid power guarantee for local economic development and social progress.
