Shanghai Electric's first large-scale photovoltaic project in Japan passed the acceptance test
August 16, 2022
Recently, the Japanese Yakai photovoltaic power generation project undertaken by Shanghai Electric Power Station Group passed the acceptance of the local government with high power generation efficiency. The project is located in Yabuki-cho, Fukushima Prefecture, Japan, with a total installed capacity of 28 MW. It is Shanghai Electric's first large-scale solar panel project in the Japanese market. The solar project started construction on July 15, 2020. The power transmission was successfully completed at the end of January this year, and the full-capacity grid connection was completed in mid-April. The local acceptance was completed recently. The annual power generation is expected to reach 31,293 MWh after operation. During the construction of the project, Shanghai Electric donated agricultural irrigation wells to local residents. It is reported that the project has completed the power station performance test before the safety inspection. The measured value of the solar system efficiency is higher than the contract performance guarantee. The test results have been highly affirmed by the owner.
